Subway’s “Walk with Jared”
May 16th and May 17th, 2012

It has been 4 year’s since Jared last visited the area to help raise funds for the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County. His visit this time will be spread out over two days with his first walk happening in Chatham on May 16th and his last three walks will take place in the Windsor area. All these walks are open to the general public with a strong group of children from area schools walking with Jared. 
The other segment of these walks will be happening in area schools and fitness clubs as everyone will have the chance to join Jared’s Kilometre Club and track their total kilometer’s each day that they either walk or run for five days. These 5 days of tracking your KM’s will take place from April 29- May 4th and May 7- 11th.
We also will be having a challenge going on between the towns of Tecumseh and LaSalle to see which town beats the other towns highest totals of KM’s and monies raised. Results will be released on May 17th at one of the walks between these two towns.

6th Annual Belle River Lighthouse Inn Triathlon
Sunday June 3rd, 2012
Once again we are looking forward to holding this annual event in Belle River. This is a great early season event. Each year we have seen our numbers expand and this year we plan on working with a group of people from the Belle River area that are committed to helping this event grow and in turn they will ensure the future existence of this event each year. While it is early, the water temperature has not been a problem in the past and we have experienced great weather each year.
